Tips for Storing your Body Butter
-
Dont get water in your body butter! Our body butters are purely oil and butter based, and contain no water. Adding water to it could compromise its shelf-life.
-
Remember to cover and seal your body butter after each use, to keep it soft.
-
Do not leave your body butter in the sun unless you are trying to melt it.
-
Shea butter melts at high temperatures, and it can at times crystalize (form little beads) when below room temperature. If you want your butter to have a smoother and more liquified consistency, put your jar in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water and mix periodically until it melts. For thicker consistency, place your jar in the fridge for 10 - 20 minutes.
